Italy - Milan, Piedmonte, Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria and Rome

2 weeks in Italy - 5 boys and Me - All sommeliers......all loving wine, food and more wine - and Fernet Branca (Im shaking my head while writing this) What an amazing Trip. We stayed at Wineries, ate and drank like fools and fell in love with Italy, its people, food wine and countryside. Italy is everything that you read about in books, it is everything you hear about and more. Go there!
Spain- Granada, Toledo, Barcelona, Torrente, Valencia

Beautiful landscape, great people, creative food (seafood and pork galore!), religion and history.
Napa Valley

Some say "Napa-Land" I say welcome home! Yountville, Rutherford, Calistoga, Oakville, Mt Veeder, St Helena, Oak Knoll District and so many more special plots of perfectness! Ritzy and Humble all at once- your neck gets sore from the head turns back and forth while driving down the Silverado Trail or Hwy 29 because every BIG name in the wine book is down those 2 roads- every turn of the head is another one - Mondavi, Franciscan, Beringer, Silver Oak, Duckhorn, Stags Leap and the list goes on for hours. Once off the main roads things turn quickly - you have the smaller vineyards and wineries like one of my personal favorites- Buehler (way on top of the mountain - 2 dramamine and a bottle of water required.) Thomas Kellers' famous French Laundry, Redd, Michael Chiarellos Bottega, Meadowood, B&Bs, Old Faithful Geyser (yes its true), HOt Air balloon rides, Mud Baths, Petrified Forest and hundreds of amazing wineries.
Sonoma County

From Sonoma Coast, Russian River to Alexander Valley - there is many beautiful wineries and miles of different landscapes. Redwoods, rivers, mountains, valleys - Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet (oh and dont forget Sparkling!) Some people say Sonoma is better then Napa because its more "laid back" and spread out. (i love them both) You can find all you need here - Glamorous dining in Healdsburg, Coastal driving and drinking bubbly, a picnic in the the redwood forest, Cool climate grapes (pinot noir and chardonnay) excel in the southern and coastal areas. Zinfandel in the Dry Creek Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon in Alexander valley. Ferrari Carano, Korbel, Jordan Winery, J winery, Mac Murray Ranch, Iron Horse, Coppola, Chateau St Jean, Kenwood and Seghesio
Mendocino County

Sparkling wine and Pinot noir are here and delicious. This laks- a- daisy area seems to be on slow motion. The drive up from no matter where you start, is windy and amazing. Redwoods galore and a winery will show up around the corner every few miles.
